East Iowa Ski Club

We organize group events such as:

• Biking, Volleyball, Golfing
• Fun Trips, Camping, Picnics
• Down Hill and Cross Country Skiing, Snow Boarding.

Single, married or families of all ages are welcome. This is a volunteer, non profit club, no restrictions or requirements to join. You don't need to be athletic, or even a skier to join or participate in any event.

Membership includes a monthly newsletter and free admission to our monthly September thru March meetings. Log on to our website for membership application and meeting information.

Joining our Ski Club is not all about being able to ski. It's about making new friends and having fun. We have year round activities providing many social opportunities; Corn Roast, Canoe trips, Camping, Biking, dinner and a movie, and community theatre events. In the winter if the snow allows, people meet weekly to cross country ski.

Introduction to Club Home Cross Country For cross-country fans, it's offerend offered as an alternative on many of our downhill trips. Starting in December, a schedule will be printed in the SKIDDOO of locations for weekly cross-country outings locally. Other Winter Activities Other things to do in the winter may include day trips, hayrack rides, sledding, pot lucks and cooking competitions. Summer Fun When late Spring comes and all the snow has melted, your ski club has not deserted you. Our summer schedule starts in May with a "Kick-Off Picnic" and includes such activities as hog roasts, corn roasts, canoe trips, bike rides, golf outings, camping weekends, and nothing nights. The EISC is truly a year-round club. The Board is always open to ideas or suggestions for new activities. Beginner or Expert For those persons reluctant to join the fascinating world of skiing, the EISC is the place for you. Here you will find others who have (or have held) the same hesitancy. Simply sign up for a trip. When you reach the destination, you will find certified ski instructors who will show you how to ski in simple, easy-to-handle stages. Beginners will find gentle slopes suited to their ability at every ski area we visit. We plan our trips for both skiiers and non skiiers. Signing Up for Trips and Events You may sign up for a Ski Trip or a Social Event at anytime, as long as there is a place available.
