Boundary Waters Canoe Trip  August 9-16

Plans for the 2nd annual canoe trip to the Minnesota Wilderness, known as The Boundary Waters, are taking shape nicely.  I have permits, the dates are set, and half the spots have been filled.

We will car and truck pool to Ely, MN on Sat Aug 9 and be on the water the 10th for six days of paddling and fishing, and five nights of camping.  We will return on the 16th.  It is difficult, actually impossible to set an exact price due to variables such as gas prices and number of people dividing the group cost.  Last year, Mary & I did five days of camping for $371.  This years adventure will be one day longer.  Are you up to it?   Can you survive six days of paddling and hiking?  If so, send $50 to Dick Means to secure your spot.  Remember - no phones, no hair dryers, no hot water, and no electricity.  You carry what you eat, and you put up what you sleep in.   Call Dick Means 319-679-2487 or 319-430-2393.  Or go to www.williamsandhall.com.  It is a very good website.
